This week a new excercise has been added to Toms' rehab. He is now standing with the assistance of a slant board and his therapist. This helps with his strength and balance.

Hi All~ Each day Tom makes tiny improvements which is fantastic. Like I try to tell him, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!!! He may have a big elephant to eat; however, I have confidence that he will eat every bite, especially when we "add" ice cream to each bite. I keep the ice cream carrot in front of him so he is working hard to get to the first bite. The flavor today is Chai Latte~~~
Thanks to all who are praying for Tom - we know that each prayer is working because we see supernatural progress daily.

Tom is making good progress; it is amazing the difference in one week. He is very attentive, and he responds with hand and head gestures.

1/13/10 Tom was transferred to Kindred Hospital in Denver, to start his rehab. He is breathing 100% on his own, and sitting up. The doctors are please with his steady improvements.
